#project330: Open Road

We’re winding down on the Everday Life section of #project330 today with the second to last photo in this series.

In my 20’s, I learned there are two kinds of canines: those who enjoy riding in the car and those who LOATHE it.

I’m a lucky dog owner because my pup, Lucy Belle, adores any car rides, which makes traveling to visit our families and friends super easy.

I learned about her affinity for the car right after I picked her up from the animal shelter, and we drove straight from Hattiesburg to Memphis for a long weekend. She slept for the majority of our drive, though she enjoyed staring out the window and checking out our surroundings as we trekked north from Southern Mississippi to Tennessee.

Ever since then, Lu has been my dedicated road trip buddy, and we have a blast riding in the car together.

This sweet girl will jump in the backseat of my car whenever the door is open, whether we’re actually going somewhere or not, and her enthusiasm gets me every single time.

Here’s to more road trips, Lu!
