#project330: Green-ish Thumb

The Everyday Life portion of #project330 continues today with a special glimpse at a yearly tradition.

Every year, my mother visits to help me with spring/summer planting. It usually happens on or around Easter weekend. Our planting extravaganza has been happening ever since I graduated college. And it’s become one of our mother-daughter bonding times.

It always makes for a lovely (and more often than not, sweaty) weekend, and I marvel at how much we get done during the short period of time.

She came down this summer to help with our front yard, and we had a fabulous time.

So much so that I made her take a photo with me to commemorate the occasion.

Thanks for helping make our yard beautiful, Mom! I look forward to continuing this tradition next year…
