#project330: Flood

Happy Sunday, everyone, and welcome to another installment of #project330’s look into my life right now.

Like I said a few days ago, life isn’t always roses. And this photo? Well, it shows one of the joys of homeownership.

Being a homeowner is awesome… most of the time.

Then things go wrong — the ceiling in your bathroom falls in or the washer floods the laundry room and part of the kitchen, among various other problems — and you have to get them fixed.

As someone who works from home unless she’s on assignment, household problems are my responsibility because I’m able to greet the repairfolks and get things taken care of in a timely fashion.

I won’t lie: Household repairs are frustrating, but in the grand scheme of things, I’m still happy we own our house, even if we’ve had to deal with some hurdles along the way.

And today’s image? It was taken after our washing machine flooded… several times. And I think my expression says exactly how I felt in the moment…
