#project330: Five-Point Crown

With #project330 off and running, I want to focus the next ten days to my twenties. We’re celebrating my 20′s with one photo dedicated to every year of the decade. Call it a Love Letter to My Twenties.

How fitting it is that the first day of my Love Letter is the first day of LSU’s college football season. However, this photo doesn’t have anything to do with football… it has to do with something near and dear to my heart.

When I left Memphis for LSU, I did not know a soul. I decided to go through recruitment in the hope of making friends and finding an organization to participate in during my collegiate years.

What I didn’t realize was that I’d make more than friends. I made sisters for life. And when I say that, I don’t mean it lightly. These girls have been by my side through thick and thin. I’m honored to call them my sisters, though we share no blood relation.

The women of Zeta Tau Alpha welcomed me with open arms. And on this day, my Love Letter to Age 20, this photograph is dedicated to them and the home and sisterhood they gave me.

One of my pledge sisters, Sarah, and a fellow sister, Kirsten, met me to make this long exposure (and double exposure!) image… and I’m kind of in love with it.

Zeta ladies… this one’s for you!
