This morning, I want to share another Best of 225: Entertainment & Nightlife 2012 winner with y’all, and it centers around one of my favorite restaurants from college: The Chimes.

Back when I was in college, going “around the world” was all the rage, and The Chimes offered a unique beer drinking experience, offering beers all over the world and challenging students, professionals and everyone in between to drink 60 beers from at least 20 countries. The challenge, itself, can be completed between 12 days and 6 months… and I never finished mine, sadly, to earn a plaque. However, I have several friends who did this, and I smile whenever I see their names on the walls at the LSU landmark.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Round the World challenge had something to do with The Chimes’ win this year.

To learn more about The Chimes, visit their website and Facebook page. (And check out the Round the World challenge, too!)
