Hey-o! It’s Friday again! And tomorrow, I have the pleasure of shooting one of my sorority sisters and her husband for their maternity portraits! I honestly cannot wait, and while it’s something a little different for me, I know we will have a lovely time, especially since Jessica was one of my very first models when I delved into photography in 2004. (Goodness, that feels like a LONG time ago!)
It’s going to be a fantastic weekend, that’s for sure. But before we begin, I wanted to share some of my favorite links with y’all from this week:
Photography
- Adobe CS6 was released Monday, and the Adobe Creative Cloud is coming May 11. Adobe lovers, rejoice!
- This interview with Raymond McCrea Jones is amazing… so are the images he is speaking about. “Challenge yourself to make a deep connection with your subjects. Empathize, feel, open up your heart and mind. Think about why you want to tell this story.”
- The Freelancer Payment Protection Act would be even more cool if it was a nationwide thing, especially since I know so many photographers, myself included, who have been stiffed by freelance clients.
- I don’t know what my obsession with aerial photography has been recently, but I am loving these photos from the sky by Jason Hawkes.
- This post from Jamie Clayton about the Film is Not Dead workshop in Seattle makes me want to get out my old school film cameras and play around with film again. I miss the magic of working with film and printing in the darkroom.
