Personal trainer Kolby Tullier works out with all kinds of athletes at Body Mechanics, his personal training shop in Baton Rouge.

I met up with him for the first time while he was working with 13-year-old golf wunderkind, Anna Heine.

I was there for an hour and watched the drills as Tullier worked with Heine to build up her strength. Tullier, a Titleist Performance Institute-approved trainer, explained he has specially-designed a golf fitness program for Heine, as well as other local golfers, that focuses on stability, mobility, balance, core strengthening and rotation for the past two years.

And the proof is in the pudding. Since Heine started working with Tullier two years ago, Heine has won 16 golf tournaments.

It’s not just golfers flocking to Tullier, either. When we were setting up this shoot, he was heading to the NFL Combine with a few players he was currently working out. And he’s been working with players — of various sports — all over the country.

I’m happy I got the opportunity to catch Tullier in action, as well as see how he works. As someone who isn’t an incredible athlete, it is amazing to me to watch someone who knows how bodies work and can finely tune them for athletes in no time flat.
