On Assignment | BR Walls | 225

The idea was to make the downtown area more beautiful. And if this local arts group has anything to do with it, downtown is about to get a lot more colorful. Casey Phillips and Kathryn Thorpe, the folks behind The Force Agency, have put together a board of volunteers to coordinate this large-scale public art effort.

BR Walls is gathering support for the creation of traditional murals on walls of downtown buildings, as well as more mobile murals. They have already commissioned artist Saliha Staib to create the first BR Walls mural downtown.

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m excited to see these splashes of color in our city sometime soon!
