Happy, happy Friday, everyone!
I can hardly believe this week is coming to a close. It’s been a strange(r) one for me, mostly because I shipped my camera to Canon for a clean and check. And I’ve felt naked ever since because I honestly don’t remember a time when I didn’t have my camera with me at all.
The good news is that I think it’s being delivered today. And the good news is that I’ve gotten a ton of non-photo stuff done this week because of it, including this Friday Favorites post. Hooray!
What about y’all?
Photography
- I’m looking forward to the reading the stories in Photographs Not Taken: A Collection of Photographers’ Essays.
- TIME Lightbox pulled together silhouetted images from the month of January. And pretty much all of these images are stunning in their own way.
- A solid example of why you should check your layers before saving for the web.
- Digg’s founder interviews Instagram’s founder on video.
- If you’re a photographer and you aren’t reading A Man to Fish, do yourself a favor and subscribe to their RSS feed. You’ll be happy you did.
- I love Carolyn Marks Blackwood‘s images of birds because they’re beautiful… but they also kind of freak me out.
- Photoshelter’s Allen Murabayashi ranted this week about loving photography. Well said, sir. And I agree 100%.
Odds & Ends
- If you own a business and want to utilize Pinterest with it, check out Tofurious’ post on using Pinterest for your business.
- Honda has made a commercial celebrating the release of the 2012 CRV using Ferris Bueller. How many Ferris Bueller’s Day Off references did you catch throughout the commercial?
- Two cats play Game for Cats on the iPad. SO CUTE.
- Who’s excited for April 1 and the second season of Game of Thrones? I am, I am!
Here’s to a wonderful weekend, wherever y’all may be and whatever y’all may be doing.
Renee - The Ferris Bueller ad is genius. Even the license plate on the CRV is a nod to the film.
Todd Reichman - Thanks for the shout out Erin!
