On Assignment | The Plane Pull | 225

As someone who had never been to an event called a “Plane Pull,” I was not quite sure what to expect… except the obvious.

I didn’t expect the plane to be so big. I didn’t expect for there to be so many teams – so many that there were heats! And I didn’t expect how quickly these teams could pull the plane 12 feet from the starting line to the finish. (We’re talking fast, y’all.)

The Arc Baton Rouge’s Plane Pull Competition and Festival was an amazing event to experience through my lens, and I am thankful I got the opportunity to do so. Seeing so many people – young and old – pulling these planes, cheering, helping one another and participating in every aspect of the festival was truly inspirational.
