On Assignment | Manuel Valencia of 300seats | 225 Magazine

At the beginning of July, I had the opportunity to spend some time with 300seats founder and Baton Rouge entrepreneur, Manuel Valencia, wandering around downtown Baton Rouge.

Manny’s organization wants to eventually open an arts space in the downtown area with 300seats. So far, 300seats has hosted a pop-up movie theater, showing two independent films, and also opened Baton Rouge’s first pop-up restaurant this past weekend at an empty restaurant space in Perkins Rowe.

We had a lot of fun roaming the streets of downtown Baton Rouge on our shoot, and the photographs captured Manny with a few buildings that he believes 300seats could utelize in the future for a theater, art and creation space.
