I spent a Sunday evening with Lindsey and Daniel a few weekends ago.
Lindsey and I met at work when she and Daniel had just moved back to Nashville this past fall, and we became fast friends, both sitting with the same group at lunch daily. Not only do we enjoy lunching together (because, let’s be honest, good food is AWESOME!, and Lindsey is an amazing cook!), but we have also gotten the chance to spend time together outside of work. I met Lindsey’s lovely fiance, Daniel, at a Christmas party, and have enjoyed hanging out with them as a couple since.
I was ridiculously excited when Lindsey asked me to take their engagement photos. They are tying the knot in New Orleans this coming August, and I could not be more excited for them.
Their senses of humor kept all of us smiling and laughing throughout the shoot, and we had a great time photographing at two of Nashville’s wonderful parks – Centennial Park and Sevier Park.
Chilling on a bridge at the sunset…
Like American Gothic… but with a brick wall, holding hands, smiles and hard to hold serious faces, minus the pitchfork and farmhouse.
“The money shot,” as Lindsey calls this one, and I have to agree. You both look so happy and in love.
Y’all. These expressions. This love. Everything about these images next to one another just makes me giddy because these smiles and the laughter uttered while these images were made just screams Lindsey and Daniel.
…
Lindsey and Daniel, I could not be more thrilled for the two of you and for these coming months!
I am so honored that you chose me to capture you on film that Sunday evening. Not only do I hope that you enjoyed yourselves that Sunday evening, but I also hope that these images serve as a beautiful reminder of your engaged days and bring a smile to your faces whenever you may see them.
