Melanie | Nashville Portrait Photographer

Melanie and I met through a mutual friend last winter. Since that fateful shopping date (because, let’s be honest, every girl needs a shopping date every once in a while), we have kept in touch. And ever since Melanie moved into my neighborhood, we have seen more of each other. We have grabbed dinner together, attended movies, and we’ve ran races together. (And I hope that I can someday run as quickly as Melanie does.)

A few weekends ago, we got together to take some photographs, and the results are absolutely stunning.

Just hanging out… in the middle of a flower bed… and pretending those families taking their Easter portraits aren’t staring. (Even though they were. And they climbed into the flower bed after Melanie and I had moved on to another location!)

Isn’t her eye color just BRILLIANT?

I honestly cannot recall what we were going for in those photos above, but I love them both and how graceful Melanie looks. (Sidenote: Mel, you’re going to have to teach me a thing or two about being graceful because I need all the help I can get. Haha.)

I love this sequence. Semi-serious. Majorly serious. Laughing because majorly serious is hard to hold. … Beautiful!

Melanie, I am so thankful we got to spend this time together on our little photoshoot. Not only was it a blast hanging out and catching up, but you were wonderful in front of the camera… even if you initially thought otherwise. 😉

I hope you had as much fun as I did, and I look forward to the next time!
